Rwanda overcame tournament favorites China in a thrilling five-set encounter, winning 25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 18-25, and 15-12 to secure a place in the last eight of the Sitting Volleyball World Championship.

The result is considered one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, with China entering the playoff after finishing top of Pool A, while Rwanda advanced as the fourth-placed team from its group.

The deciding fifth set will be remembered for Rwanda's extraordinary fighting spirit. Trailing 2-9 and seemingly on the brink of elimination, the Rwandan side mounted an incredible comeback, winning 13 of the final 16 points to claim a remarkable 15-12 victory.
